well, since we got our big dose of reality, can ND fans now accept the fact that they were grossly overrated prior to, during and after this season?

the only three quality opponents they played and they got waxed in all three.

you play the equivalent of a MAC schedule with 3-4 decent non conf. games and do great against the deadbeats and terrible against anyone that's actually good.

nice job. ND looked deserving to me. hurry up and cash that check.:banghead2:

Agree - Lou Holtz was saying they lose bowl games because they are playing tough teams in bowls. The only reason they are playing tough teams in bowls is because they are continually over-ranked in the polls.

lou holtz is the biggest homer i've ever seen. the pregame on espn was absolutely ridiculous. talk about rose colored glasses. the guy seriously has no clue. and he continually gets proved wrong about ND and SC.

ND is a joke. a rich joke, but a joke none the less.

and you are exactly right about their ranking and why they keep getting beat. 9 straight bowl losses. pathetic for the supposed flagship college football program.

ND is the reason why I think no team should be eligible to be National Champion without winning their conference.

Exactly! They are rich enough to buy NBC to carry their games, but not to buy LSU to play them closely.:dance2:

Notre Dame is a total joke. They couldn't even win with all the reffs' calls. Well, at least my ex-bf can't say that the Vols are over-rated anymore since they got their (_|_)s kicked even worst

So, even after Penn State laid a beating on UT, they still do not get figured in as a quality team that Notre Dame played?

Notre Dame lost to Michigan, USC, and LSU. Yes, they were taken behind the woodshed in those games. However, those 3 teams, along with Tosu, are fielding the most talent in the game right now.

Notre Dame still has a long way to go before they will be a Top 5 caliber team, however, if ND had played a non-ranked oppenent, like UT did, then Notre Dame would have won handily.

no. and only for one reason. PSU's win had more to do with us beating ourselves than anything PSU did to win it. it was basically a late christmas present, To: JoePa and the PSU football team
From: Phil Fulmer and the TN football team

enclosed: 3 turovers, 1 redeemable for a TD and 1 redeemable for a FG. a coupon for a multitude of penalties. Stocking stuffer: we won't play our best RB for the majority of the game because of yet another off feild issue.

Merry Christmas.

ND sucks.

as for your last point, you may be right. but they didn't. and let's also not forget this is their 9th consecutive bowl loss. there was not a team in the BCS less deserving of their bcs spot than ND.

IF you put that schedule up, and change the name from Notre Dame to Navy, would Navy had made it to the BCS? Same color scheme, same gold helmets with the same accomplishements?.....you and i both know the answer is NO. in the end, the hype around notre dame this season was just that, hype. people actually picked this team to be a national title contender before the season.
