Not really surprising considering Mississippi State's involvement in the Cam Newton sweepstakes. The $650k is a ridiculous sum and is either a gross exaggeration or complete fabrication.

Well, I don't think any of us know what happened or didn't happen... if his mother would have said she received an offer for $6,500 or even $65,000, that seems more believable. It seems like his mother came up with a crazy figure to try and get more money. The problem with all these "stories" is Lewis is actually being sued in court over many of his statements.

At this point, it would seem like if her statements were that LSU (the school itself) offered $650,000 then they should potentially a slander suit to get to the bottom of this.... whether true or not.

Although its Ole Miss that is the subject of most of this at the present time... my guess many roads lead to Mullen. LSU has paid players before, meaning coaching staff, if that is what she is claiming... so I am in no way saying it isn't possible.... $650,000... very very unlikely.
