Is there ever a circumstance so difficult, that you have to hit a girl in the back of the head ? Burton wasn't defending himself. He was acting out frustration over a disappointing, close defeat. That girl never posed a threat to him at any time. In fact, he was walking through the end zone, a short distance from the visitor's tunnel at the time of the incident.
