Wow..Ole Miss got this kid because LSU didn't take his phone call?? It makes me wonder when a kid's future is determined by a situation as simple as that..Does anyone else find this kinda bizarre???

Speaks: Missed phone call pushed me away from LSU

If i was getting recruited by a team that wanted me so much, then they didn't take my call. I would not be happy either. It's disresectful.

That's ridiculous and petty. I'm sorry, but you completely disregard a school because they didn't answer a phone call? A coach who makes 4 million dollars a year, and has every single second of every single day planned out for him, didn't answer your phone call?

Maybe Coach Miles was taking a grassy poop, and didn't wanna be rude! I'm sorry, I just lose respect for the kid, not the coach. Get over yourself. The world doesn't revolve around you. If a kid chose to go to some other school just because we didn't answer when he called, then good riddance. I don't want that kind of ego.

Its one thing if they didn't answer its another if they didn't return his call in a timely manner. And if you are shopping around looking to spend money and someone gives you better service that could easily sway ones choice.

Best part of article is when he talks about coming to school in shape and ready to get in the d line rotation right away.

If a recruit is basing his decision off a single phone being missed, I think he made a wise decision going somewhere else. LSU made a late run at him.

I expect nothing less from the entitlement generation.

Even read the article?

Article mentions how hard the kid has been working in the gym in an effort to succeed once he gets on campus. Petty, maybe, but hardly entitled.

I didn't get a summer job I really wanted because I left my phone in the car while visiting my grandma when I was in high school. This was back in 07. The owner was apparently a cranky dingbat and I called back an hour later and he told me I had the job, but since I didn't answer he gave it to someone else. I was pretty upset since it paid pretty dang well for a part time summer job.

Some people are like that I guess.
