Is it happening again to the Bulldogs this year? It's too early to tell, but right now it's 7-3 UMASS with 4 minutes left in the first.

Why in the world is Mississippi State playing AT UMass??

The same reason they played at Southern Miss? I'm guessing either: A) they couldn't (or were too stingy to) buy them out of the second half of the home and home or B) they wanted a game in a big city (possibly for recruiting or exposure reasons in such a large city)...the game is at Gillette Stadium in/near Boston.

I'm not confident that UMASS pulls this off, but it would easily be the biggest win since the program moved to FBS in 2012 if it did.

Possibly one of the biggest in their in program history, but they did make the FCS finals back in 2006.

UMASS made it close again with a TD, but MSU ended it with another TD with 2:30 left to make it 47-35 Bulldogs.

They're a mess right now.
