Missouri NIL law

seems like a big step, but I don't think it is.

The bill still says they have to SIGN with an in-state school to get NIL deal right then. I am not sure Missouri law will apply if that kid leaves the state.

I mean I guess the benefit is you get the money immediately, instead of having to wait until you are on campus.

The Coach being there as a third party seems pretty farfetched. Is a coach going to have time to go to 25 different negotiations during recruiting/bowl season? I mean maybe Drink can because he doesn't go to a bowl game, but that seems to be pushing things.

I think courts with overrule that. I don’t see how you can say “it’s okay to do this, but only if you go to the college we want you to go to”
Absolutely this will get torpedoed in court. I’m not a lawyer but something along the lines of unfair competitive advantage is how it strikes me. If I were a Missourian I would be pissed that I had twits representing me that wasted time on this.

You get the money as soon as you enroll elsewhere. So when Wingo/Nwaneri/Reddell/Lindstrom enroll at UT in January after signing they’ll have missed a whole month of whatever pittance Mizzou could have scrounged up.

1. I really don't think they could do this.
2. I really don't think they want to do this.

but the only way I would see a law like this working is if players got the money really early. Like when they committed......good luck keeping them committed.
