What exactly was Franklin's injury? Knee related? Shoulder?
Shoulder separated I think. Supposed to be out 3-5 weeks. I think this Sat is week 3 for him. They'd be smart to not risk him getting further hurt by coming back too soon but then again Spurrier rolled the dice too and it happened to work out. Be interesting to see what they decide if the game goes down to the wire.
If Franklin's passing the ball with any kind of zip only three weeks later, then he's some kind of superhuman.
Shoulder separation really hampers a QB.
All it takes is one good blow to the shoulder. And once or twice a game or half a QB is gonna take a hit.
Dobbs starting or not, Mauk starting or not. Dobbs (see article) throwing mechanics not right. Inaccurate in practice.
All this is, is Coach Speak. we will see come Saturaday. My bets are Dobbs and Mauk Start. We may see Ferguson and Franklin in the game we may not.
Agreed. I don't really see how he could come in and throw without it affecting him. But desperate times call for desperate measure. A mizzou fan at work said he would rather them bench him till the sec champ game if they got there.

I don't think they'll play him anyway. Maty Mauk has played well enough that I don't think you risk injuring James Franklin further.

Disagree. Would rather play them at full strength. Would not want anyone saying we beat their B-team. I want no room for discussion when we win.
