What are his views on this? I know he probably thinks this election will come down to only the economy, and he is probably right. That said, his most important job while in office is commander-in-chief.

Any ideas? Who is advising him on foreign policy? Do we even know? This is getting a little bizarre.

what are you looking for him to say? There's a plan in place and he's said it works but he will consult with the military leaders. Same thing happened with Obama, things change once you get all the info

What is his plan? Who is advising him on foreign policy? Is it the Bush-era war hawks?

Before coming to the Pentagon, he was the National Intelligence Officer for East Asia, first at the Central Intelligence Agency and then for the Director of National Intelligence, from 2004~2006. Ashley Tellis background:

Funny that Obama attacked Romney and Ryan for not having foreign policy experience.
