I'm not following. Why would UT hiring the MO St coach affect MO's chances with Purdue's coach? If the Purdue coach wants to leave for Missouri, I don't see why he would stay at Purdue, just because Martin is no longer available to succeed him at Purdue.

i guess Martin was their 2nd choice behind Matt Painter. Dumb because Painter was not leaving Purdue for Mizzou. Pretty sure he's about to get a nice fat raise.

I see why we would have impacted Missouri's plans if they were interested in Martin, but that's not what the linked story said. It implied that the Purdue coach would only go to Missouri if Martin were available to replace him at Purdue.
