Well, the boys got their feet wet in SEC play. Just one game and a long season ahead. We'll be alright. We'll take this one today and tomorrow.

You can't win them all, and you can't put too much emphasis on the first SEC series, but to me it would be a pretty big disappointment to lose the first SEC series after that promising start. Especially considering Missouri doesn't seem to be that good.

Burger, the Vols had a 2 run lead in the 7th in the opening game of the series. I'd use my best there and let him close it out. Win the first game, it might rain tomorrow.

I heard CDS on the radio yesterday say (I'm paraphrasing of course), that he told the team that the loss was on him. He said he probably should have used Cox in that situation, but that he was looking ahead to the next two games. As "win the next pitch" has been the mantra, he admittedly strayed from that and got caught looking ahead to the double header (which he knew about before game one started).

I would add that he wasn't directly asked about it, he brought it up.

Thanks 66. I am all in for Serrano but I had to scratch my head on that one. He is very secure in his abilities to bring that up in a press conference and second guess himself. A team will respect that.

Well, I think most of us were curious about the decision. Also, it seems like such an obvious post game question and it didn't get asked. I'm glad we have a coach that would bring it up when he didn't have to as he did. It's refreshing.

I respect that as a fan. Serrano is going to be honest with ya. A smart man knows when he made a mistake, so he can correct it. A dumb man keeps making the same mistakes over and over.
