From Gabe DeArmond's twitter. He coves Mizzou athletics: "For those into stalking flights, a plane went from Columbia to Birmingham (SEC HQ), stayed for 4 1/2 hrs, and returned yesterday"

From David Sandhop's twitter. He is the publisher of the Aggie Websider:"Originally, tomorrow was deadline. Miss couldn't get curators together until Tuesday so deadline relaxed. Sounds positive for SEC"

Mizzou to the SEC never really died yet...OU just started speaking to them.

More people need to mail & email the mizzou board and president about putting the school in the sec/leaving the big 12, personally

If the SEC has to have the 14th team, Mizzou is definitely the best choice out there, and they haven't shown any sort of strong commitment to staying the Big XII.

Missouri adds another 6-8 million people to the equation. The St. Louis and KC TV markets are highly coveted by the SEC.

Mizzou will make an announcement as soon as Tuesday evening or Wednesday announcing their departure from the Big 12 and their application being submitted to the SEC. They will be our 14th school.

Mizzou is coming. This tweet from the minister of propaganda for the Texas Longhorns, Chip Brown....
ChipBrownOB Chip Brown
Chuck Neinas said today Mizzou chancellor Brady Deaton is no longer chairing Big 12 Board of Directors (K-State's president is). A sign?

I found this interesting, a point made a week ago by cbssports on one of their blogs:

SEC wants Missouri, the logical No. 14 choice - CBSSports.com

Because the SEC is so sensitive to the landscape right now, don't be surprised either that the report could actually wreck a Missouri move to the SEC. It is known that SEC commissioner Mike Slive doesn't want to move on an existing conference member -- especially from the Big 12 -- until things are resolved legally.

Don't forget that Baylor could threaten legal action against Missouri if the school was accepted to the SEC. A Big 12 source said that for legal purposes, the Big 12 is still considered a conference as long as it has five members. The NCAA requires minimum membership of six for a conference to exist.

this was before OU chose to stay though

Mizzou has everything the SEC wants. Namely, a strong following, a decent but not great football program and about 3 million or so potential SEC network subscribers.

I agree Milo. I wanted VT in this conference before anyone else but not anymore. Mizzou wants to be here and i welcome them.

...I can just see the Big 12 coming in and kind of bullying them around on monday

If the SEC wants them, they might have to be willing to fight a bit for this one

I just read this:

"We understand that relative to the grant of rights issue this matter has to be considered by the Missouri board of curators, and they will have an opportunity to review what the conference has accomplished, what we're doing and what we plan to do," Neinas told reporters on a conference Wednesday night. "I think that once they have an opportunity to fully understand and comprehend what the conference is doing that they will agree that Missouri should continue to be a good member of the Big 12 Conference."

and see him holding a baseball bat while tapping it in the palm of his other hand
