Mizzou @ Vandy

Missouri's offense is too much of a mess as good as their defense has been in most of their games this season.

The rushing game's inept (their starter Hansborugh just never has gotten fully healthy and none of the backups have made up) , the passing game's found little ground under the freshman QB, and the offensive line's been so full of holes that both offensive aspects have seen a lot of pressure (/sacks).

The offense's play has been so poor that being down almost any number of points - period- have been too much for it to overcome.

I've actually been expecting Vanderbilt to win this one most of the week.

Yeah, I think Vandy has a very good chance of pulling out the win. Mizzou just looks pitiful. Their defense doesn't look THAT great considering this is Vandy, and their offense is nonexistent.

Vandy's offense is less nonexistent so much as it is they have had a recurringly bad habit of turnovers, especially in the red zone. They usually get middle of the line production before recurringly shooting themselves in the foot.

It did hold UF to 14 points and UGA to a grand total of 9 points, especially pressure and limiting opponent production, but since that offense is so bad (I don't think they've scored a TD in 2 games) it hasn't made much of a difference in the outcomes.

But as good as Vandy's defense has also been, Missouri not being able to do anything even production wise with the offense, is just going to force their defense to be out on the field even more and rest less.

Looks like Vandy can't hit a FG either. They just missed a 45 yarder.

Yep, a good defense and an offense that regularly shoots itself in the foot (Vandy)

vs

a really/very good defense - which has to be seeing the field for the majority of each game's play time - and an offense that is so bad that going out there and just taking 3 knees probably wouldn't really change the outcome too much (Missouri).

Missouri's offense in the first half: 8 yards rushing; 44 yards total offense.

Addendum: It looks like most of these games, you're seeing Missouri's defense out on the field for about 40 minutes of the 60-minute total.

Drew Lock overthrows the wide-open Missouri player on what would have been a TD.

No production.

They have a grand total of: 1 first down, no 3rd down conversions, and 46 total yards of offense.

Wow. If that scoop and score TD holds, they may win the game despite fielding such a putrid offense.

It didn't. Though it would hold up with the whole "Vanderbilt committing a turnover and shooting themselves in the foot" again.

Apparently Missouri reshuffled its offensive line because of how much it had been struggling the last two games. Based on today, it might have just made it worse.

I'm pretty sure this one could end without the last quarter and we'd still get the same thing.

This might be the worst SEC game ever. Only watched bits and pieces but what a total joke both of these teams are. If UT's head is in the game they should win going away.

If either team breaks 10 offensive points it's inexcusable.

No, I think that goes to the 3-2 game several years back (wasn't it like Auburn and Miss st).
