Glad to see former Vol Phil Garner coaching the N.L.

Did you just hear his pregame speach? LOL

Ahhhhhh Thomas didn't win 1 Million in the Taco Bell contest.

He got pretty close though, to be hitting off a tee.

No lie . . . It is patently stupid for home field advantage in the World Series to be decided by players that have no chance of being there.

I think they are probably afraid that they'll look bad if they didn't agree to it. In the scheme of things, it's not that big a deal. MLB has never been logical like every other sport and given homefield to the best record. They just alternated it.

Really? I thought it went to the best record before this non-sense...

At least this season it doesn't look like the best record will come out of the NL anyway.

I can't believe Rolen never got in, considering that he is hitting .331 for a team in first place. I also think Wagner should have been on the team and in the game in the 9th. I know he has blown a few saves this year, but if MLB is going to insist on this silly way of deciding home field, then the closer from the top team should be closing the game. I agree that the best record should have home field, which probably won't be the Mets anyway.

If they are going to insist on the game deciding homefield in the WS, they've also got to do away with the rule that says that each team must be represented.

I feel the exact same way.

Think of this, too. The game is supposed to be about the fans, yet the fans don't see some of the best players play now. I'm fine with fans voting for EVERY SINGLE PLAYER in the All-Star game, but don't let something important hang on the outcome.

on baseball tonight they were all talking about how he would've made a play on that ground ball in the last inning... and how they should have put andruw jones in center and moved beltran to left

Needed to have a good defense in there because hoffman doesn't strike everyone out
