Furthermore leading us to believe that this team vastly underachieved. Not sure Serrano is the answer......

You realize that they are comparing this team to the 2006 team coached by Rod Delmonico? Both teams finished with 11-18 records in SEC play.

In 2006, the CWS featured one SEC team...UGA.

In 2015, the CWS features four SEC teams, half the CWS participants.

Exactly - most totally forget how strong the SEC has become in the last decade while dominating the CWS. For this season nearly everybody has forgotten how awful the weather was in the first half to where they couldn't even practice outside and had to cancel/postpone games.

With the addition of Larry Simcox the program might step forward next season with some good luck for a change. I wouldn't give up on CDS yet.

I see in a lot of years that guys get selected in the draft but may not actually sign. Are all of these guys going to sign or would any of the rising seniors entertain the idea of coming back? Is it possible AJ would come back and play for his dad?

Here is my guess:
Stewart - yes
Owneby - yes
Lee - 50/50
Simcox - no
Cox- no

Owenby, Stewart and Lee will sign.
Cox will stay ( I heard his Mom put it on facebook that he was coming back to UT)
Simcox will probably sign, no sure thing either way.

Good luck to these guys. Great opportunities whether they stay or go. Again, the challenge is how mlb punishes financially college seniors. Just go to baseball america website and see signing bonuses for seniors last year taken in the first 10 rounds. If you are not a top 3 or 4 round pick bonus is greatly reduced and much below slot. Most juniors taken in rounds 11-20 get a $100,000 or more bonus plus a year of college.
