If you have never heard MLK's "Beyond Vietnam" speech, you should. Given a year to the day before his assassination. It hurts me so bad he was assassinated in Tennessee. This link also plays his April 3, 1968 speech "I have been to the mountaintop." Greatness.

A daily TV/radio news program, hosted by Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez, airing on over 900 stations, pioneering the largest community media collaboration in the United States.

"a radical revolution in values" - delivered forty years ago, and we need it now more than ever, more than ever.

Instead we get:

CAIR Hijacks Martin Luther King Day to Advance Islamic Supremacism Over All - Atlas Shrugs

It is not lost on me that the Hamas group CAIR would hijack the annual day of remembrance from the passionate zionist and anti-supremacist, Dr. Martin Luther King. They have no shame and no respect for anyone or anything except advancing Islam and the sharia in the West.
--------------------------------------

Hamas group CAIR has chosen a close confident and "beloved" mentor of the new Ground Zero imam Abdullah Adhami, Siraj Wahhaj, terrorist supporting, unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, as their keynote speaker.
--------------------------------------

CAIR bills itself as a “civil rights” organization although it is not. If the issue doesn’t benefit Muslims, Islam or sharia, you can bet CAIR is nowhere to be seen. That’s why it’s no surprise that they have hijacked the MLK, Jr. holiday and converted it into Muslim Capitol Day.

Didn't read that thread.

The thing about it is that JFK and RFK were the last two to vote with and support McCarthy in his effort to oust communists from the State Department.

Communists were trying to infiltrate MLK's civil rights movement at every turn.

Traditionally blacks had voted Republican because that was the party that had helped them the most and indeed blacks had been founding members of the Republican party.

Kennedy was successful in pulling over the black vote by forming an allegiance with MLK but repeatedly asked MLK to distance himself from communists who were infiltrating and trying to manipulate his movement.

As a matter of fact when MLK would schedule some protest, the communists would send in agitators who would attempt to enflame acts of violence on both sides of the debate.

Another fact that seems lost in contemporary history is that the voting rights acts and other bills wouldn't have passed a democrat majority congress without the support of the republicans.

don't let those facts get in the way of a radical black agenda.
