Trying to watch MNF with Payton and Eli, sometimes it's entertaining sometimes not so much. President Obama and ESPN ruined it for me, why talk politics? Yeah get out and vote but that's it don't tell us how to vote
Meh. He's a former POTUS. They are essentially doing a talk show around a football game. He's the one who said who to vote for. Which is no surprise.

This isn't a new thing. Now all of a sudden you notice this? Really?

Uhhh, they didn't really talk politics at all, except for the most generic bit about why you should vote and care about topics like the economy, the environment, etc.

I swear to God, people just shut their brains off and see red when the other team is in the spotlight. Change it from ESPN2 to ESPN if you can't handle Obama telling stories about hosting the '85 Bears at the WH. Much easier than starting a thread about how butthurt you are about it.

They followed Obama with a non-PC comedian and a libertarian actor. Somebody somehwere may have started a thread complaining about those ESPN nods.

I watched, and I don’t recall the former president telling people who to vote for, only where they should to go online to find information about voting in their particular area.

He was very generic when Peyton and Eli brought up politics, not partisan by any stretch...unlike the OP.

Yep - he was apolitical other than advocating voting. Though I was not a fan of his presidency, last night he was just like any other guest.

This is the treatment you get when you are a former POTUS who behaves well and is a sports fan. George W Bush has been interviewed on nationally broadcast NFL games. Obama and Bush both seem like a good hang, and that goes a long way.

Here's the video. He starts talking about voting at around the 12 minute mark. He never mentions who to vote for. He says "if you aren't happy with things right now, get out and vote."

Just more faux outrage and hurt feelings from the usual suspects.
