This is outrageous! There are football players that commit crimes who get suspended for less time than Mo has already served! He's getting the same penalty Dez Bryant got for LYING to the NCAA.
It's getting harder and harder to be a fan of college sports.
Some level of consistency would be nice. Also a little transparency would be appreciated. Other kids can pay the money back but he can't?
Never, ever admit to anything. It's their burden of proof and admitting does no good whatsoever.
Hey kids, If you ever make a mistake and get caught, NEVER be a Man and admit it or apologize for your wrong doings!! Instead, lie your a$$ off and deny everything!!! Just like Johnny Douche-Nozzle!!
This lesson was brought to you by the NCAA and the letter "F"
The problem with the NCAA here isn't necessarily the decision on MO. He did wrong and admitted it. Now he is paying the piper. The problem is a "big time" player at a school in the hunt for a conference or national title would not have been declared ineligible. We have seen the NCAA pull that on several occasions. I don't really care how they enforce their rules so long as that enforcement is consistent. It isn't!
This situation with Mo also goes to show that you are better off lying to the NCAA if you did something wrong. You gain nothing by being honest. The NCAA is not seeing a great example for the student athletes they are supposed to be representing.
