Mo permanently ineligible

Mo was dumb
Mo took cash
Mo can't play no more

It's all Mo's fault
Not the NCAA's

Mo made a terrible decision.
He now has to live with it.
He should be disqualified.
If he were at another school, all the people downing the NCAA would be praising it

I don't disagree with the ruling on Mo Couch.

Depending on the School, there is more than a 60% to 75% chance the ruling would be different and more that likely lesser punishment.

Agree. Every player is repeatedly told not to deal with agents. It's a huge no-no. Dez Bryant got same treatment. Ha-Ha Clinton Dix "borrowed" money from an Assistant Trainer and sat a couple and paid it back(At least that's all they could prove). Totally different scenario.
All those wanting Bama to pay may get their wish though. DJ Fluker got $30,000 plus from the same agent and it's documented. Worse he's a former player and thus may qualify as a booster also. They may forfeit games and thus Championships when this is all said and done. The comparison is Mo Couch vs the others in the report and their respective teams, not Clinton Dix or Johnny Football.

They have let student athletes pay money back and play.

Hell they let 5 OSU players play in Natl Chp game.

They did and suspended them x games the next year of which several bolted to the NFL.

Why were they allowed to play in the Natl Chp Game?

Money in the NCAAs pockets. Self Serving ruling.

He should be disqualified but isn't.
What's the difference between the two? If you cannot see the discrepancy here then you are just dumb.

Sucks for Couch, but he's paying the consequences. He knew it was against the rules.I think players should get paid. But for the time being it's against the rules.

So basically what you're saying is if Mo were an Alabama or TAMU player, it would be no big deal. Also it really doesn't matter that Dix paid anything back. The fact that he took only period breaks NCAA rules. Bottom line is, Mo screwed up deserves to be punished. However he should not be held to some kind of higher standard or be punished more than those who have also broken the rules. All I am saying is there needs to be consistency and fairness.

Life is not always fair.

The bottom line is Mo broke the rules. He disqualified himself.

Johny D-Bag- Gets 1 quarter suspension for making thousands of dollars illegally.

Ha-Ha Clinton Dicks- 2 game suspension.

Mo Couch- Suspended pretty much a whole season.

Can we please get the NCAA investigated?

Not taking up for Johnny but it is his name ,to do with what he wants. NCAA shouldn't have a say in what he signs. As for Ha Ha and Mo there grown men.

i doubt it,the NCAA isn't going to come down hard on anybody these days,Miami has gotten off easy for what happened there and Penn State, talk about lack of institutional control there,it is all about the money,if you can make it,there not going to do anything

No what I'm saying is dealing with an Agent is a HUGE no-no. And as much as I hate the NCAA, they have been pretty consistent on handing out punishments related to agents. Every player is told over and over and over not to deal with them. Dix didn't deal with agent. Johnny dealt with an autograph broker but there was no hard proof. They have wire receipts, furniture receipts etc.. for Bray, Mo, Fluker and the others. What I'm saying is the comparison will be between the players that dealt with the agent rep.

I agree Bama will probably skate. However that's when everyone can accurately compare punishments. Mo vs Fluker. That was my only point. A lot of people here can't step back and take the emotion out of it and compare apples to apples. This case involves agents and should only be compared to other cases where players dealt with agents.

Best of luck to Mo C...other than a couple of petty mistakes and bad decisions he made, he has represented the University and Volnation well.

Wow Perry Mason. I did not realize that there was an agent confirmed to be involved. You must have great sources to confirm 100% that an agent was involved.....oh wait, your just pulling stuff out of your arse because it is on record that the agent that was in question denied any involvement or knowledge of what the ex-bammer was doing. Mo ONLY admitted to taking money from an ex-bammer and that's it. That's the ONLY paper trail as well so YES Mo's and HA HA's case is apples and apples so please GTFO!

What everyone that is coming to the defense of Mo wants to see is fairness no matter who the player is. Meaning Ha Ha should have been dealt the same punishment PEROID. If he had, we would all agree this it is what is.

I bet there are a handful of bleeding orange TN law firms that would take this pro-bono just to sue the NCAA. I would love it if it happened.

Can I get some cheese with all the whining in this thread..

All mo had to do was follow the rules plus this is over like a few hundred dollars.. Did that really make a big diff in his life???

It's looking like it made a REALLY big difference in his life although obviously not the one he had originally intended.

Ugg! No need to resort to name calling, I'm simply stating facts. Here's a link for you that says the Ex-Bama player is connected to not 1 but 3 agents. Google can be a very useful website in the future. Reading Comprehension(Me) vs. Selective reasoning(You)

A couple hundred dollars could have been the difference between making rent and his family being on the street.

I like how govols is charging for this article that is free all over the local sports news sites

Him being connected to agents and the players knowing he was connected to agents is two totally separate things. You have to understand what you read to comprehend it. You sure your not a bama nut hugger.
