Here's an excerpt from the Mobile Register... pretty hilarious.

Start calling Bama UAT

After watching the way Alabama-Birmingham played Tennessee, I think they ought to switch and start calling the University of Alabama the Blazers and the Crimson Tide can be the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. Obviously, the northern Alabama team is better than the western Alabama team.

I believe UAB could beat UAT if they ever got the chance.

They could but Bryant JR and the other one's in T-Town don't want any part of UAB

Yeah... these are the same UA Board of Trustees that tried to shut down the UAB football program a few years ago.

I just want to add, That they (the fans) was there for their team, There wasnt a ton of them, But they yelled back and the few i spoke to in lines etc were really cool and polite people. My hats off to them and the effort of the Blazers! :hi: Much LUCK the rest of the season.....

Most of our fans are convinced that Tenn. fans may be the classiest in the SEC. We dont know what those Bammers and Aubies are talking about.

I applaud the fans of UAB...They came all the way up here with gas prices through the roof and knowing that there wasn't anyone giving them a chance to win the game...The few that were there stayed and cheered their team till the end.

God Bless and Go Vols

Other than a Volunteer victory there's nothing I can think of right now that I would enjoy more than watching UAB beating UAT.

:biggrin2: Yall should keep up the "UAT" thing... the Bammers really, really hate it.

I heard a Bama fan talking they other day and he was angry beyond words because someone asked him where he graduated. He responded, "The University of Alabama." To which the person asked, "Tuscaloosa or Birmingham?"

Oh... sorry Lady... I forgot about that. Carlos is doing fine thank goodness. Just had some severe cramping, but he should be fine for the rest of the season. :biggrin2:

How about Bama on more probation??

Probation is one thing, jmxvol, physical harm is another.

Little harsh Jmx. Wouldn't we want those guys playin' so we wouldn't have to listen to the apologists griping that we only won because of the injuries (sorta like we had to listen to when we beat FSU for the title)?

I had a Friend email me today (he is also an Auburn Fan) about almost getting beat by that UAB nursing school in North Alabama.

He really didn't like it when I called his program cowards for playing The Citadel and not UAB

They really should be interesting to follow up on in C-USA. If they can get by Southern Miss and Marshall doesnt look like anyone else should beat them?

UTEP will be tough...as could Memphis, but if history is any indicator, UAB should have no trouble with Memphis.

The Blazers have a good start, if they can take this loss in the right context, create momentum from it... hell, they should take C-USA

Really, in theory, UAB SHOULD probably win every game remaining on our schedule and be 10-1 at the end of the regular season. We then would have a good shot of winning the CUSA title game and a bowl game as well. In any case, it should be a good year. Theoretically, anyone else we play after Tennessee should look slow.

By the way, UAB plays Troy this upcoming Saturday and they're talking some stuff and trying to say that UT is overrated and that Troy has a better defense than yall. If youre interested in reading any of their delusional talk, go here: http://www.gotroytrojans.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=1

Yep, if Watson had the same support that Mal Bone-head Moore has, UAB would be something. But the rich power monger/power wielders will screw UAB until it gives up. These are the same BOT members that helped bammer go into the sewer they are in now.
