Tennessee will finish 5th in national attendance, would it be naive to believe the selection committee is not looking at factors like that when making some final choices?

We know big time college athletics are all about the money in many cases. Can you see this being a factor?

I thought you were insinuating bribery at first.

I think the attendance won't mean much to the committee.

I do recommend bribery.

Attendance probably influences more in the NIT.
Not supposed to but believe it does.

ROFL! I thought the same when I read the title. I'm afraid this is gonna take more than a BBQ. We need that Phillip Fulmer buyout money to get us in.

The NIT has flat out stated it is taking into consideration...

Never heard that from NCAA though...

OP, remember the little Cinderella schools get everyone's attention. The NCAAdoesnt have to bring in only big time programs. Those little school make then plenty of money both on tv and tickets.

If they take money into consideration (which wouldn't surprise me), I would think TV numbers would matter more than attendance.

NIT: yes
NCAA: no

Why would it? We could be playing 2,000 miles away.

If this were the case, UK wouldn't have been in the NIT a few years ago.
