Montoya GONE next year

It was bound to happen sooner or later with Ganassi holding the contract for Kyle Larson! He would be awfully young but if they keep waiting another couple of years his contract will be up and Hendrick's will likely come calling with a boat load of money and the possibility to step into the #24!

I see a good upside to Larson but I hope they let him develop.

Is it just me or does anyone think he ends up @ Stewart-Haas?

Any thing is possible if he can bring money I guess. He did hint that he may have some Cup options for next year in an interview today.

He has more talent than that #10 driver.

That's not a high standard.

That team wins the 400 instead of serving a penalty and this a different thread

I don't know. Would winning just three races (even if one of them is one of the more prestigious races) in eight years, still be enough to save a driver's ride? I'm not so sure.

Saw today Andretti Autosport is trying put together sponsorship for a return to IndyCar.

I saw this too. I think it's going to be hard to find sponorship for the whole seaons. Indy teams are already having a hard time finding sponorship for top drivers for the full season. Who knows maybe it will work out. I would like to see JPM at the Indy 500 next year.

He has a better chance at a decent Indy ride, than a decent Cup ride.

AAS would be a great team for JPM to drive for. I just think if he does it will be a limited schedule. If they get sponorship for the full schedule I would be surprised.

Andretti, Ganassi, and Penske haven't raced and unsponsored car in some while.

I wasn't meaning they would put him out there without sponorship. Just meant it may be hard to find a sponor who would be willing to put up the money for JPM for a whole season. I am pretty confident there is a sponor that would put their name on the car for at least the Indy 500 though.
