@ChrisHogan21 Sounds doubtful, Mookie Betts has
apparently turned down 2nd round money. $ may have been reallocated to Golson.

Full Count Red Sox sign 29th rounder Matt Spalding
In other Red Sox draft news, the team is increasingly pessimistic about the likelihood of getting a deal done with fifth-rounder Mookie Betts. The shortstop with a commitment to the University of Tennessee was viewed earlier this summer as likely to sign. However, he has recently rejected a bonus typically in line with slot recommendation for a second rounder. Betts has yet to take a physical with the Sox, and while the possibility of a thaw in negotiations cannot be ruled out, the Sox are prepared to reallocate the money that they had earmarked for Betts signing to other draftees.
