"Morals" don't have anything to do with All-American teams.

I'll give you Newton and Luck for sure. Mallett I'm not entirely sold on. Great stats, yes, but every QB to ever play in Petrino's system has put up big numbers (Brian Brohm anyone?).

There are 5 lists that are officially recognized by the NCAA.

The Sporting News, The American Football Coaches Association, The Walter Camp Football Foundation, the AP, and this list (the FWAA.)

The big thing is to be named to at least 3 of them, so you can claim to be a "consensus All American." Though being named to all 5, thus becoming a "unanimous All American", is also an accomplishment.
