I was a little suprised today to hear that Brent Hubbs said that he will not be suprised if James Banks is not on the team come Fall. I knew Banks was in the doghouse but I guess I just figured it would work out and he would be back.

That doesn't surprise me at all. I mean, I had hoped he would straighten up, but it looks like that has not happened.

We shall see...

I think what has happened is that Fumler has realized that we don't really need Banks like we might have the past couple of years. We have enought talent at WR that is may not be worth putting up with his headaches....whatever those may be.

I would certainly love to see James get things in order, and return to the team. He is a tremendous talent; however, with Jayson Swain, Robert Meachum, Chris Hannon, and Bret Smith, I think we will be alright.

After the Hail Mary in last year's Swamp meet, I am emotionally tied to James Banks and would hate to see him go.

I think we would all hate to see him go, but it's better that he leave than be a distraction to the team. I hope he gets his act together.

There have been a lot of rumors about him transferring still floating around, but that's about all I have heard. Obviously if he doesn't transfer in the near future you would have to think he has made up his mind to make an effort to get out of Fumer's doghouse. From what I am hearing that may not even be possible at this point. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Thanks, VF. This is a great looking board. I think I will really enjoy it here! GO BIG ORANGE!!!

LIO, I don't think it has ever been released exactly what he did.

MississippiVol thanks for the compliment. We look forward to having you around and reading your posts.
