on kickoffs the clock doesn't start until the ball is touched by the receiving team and the clock will stop on possession changes. Basically going back to what they used in '05. Evidently too many coaches complained about not being able to get in enough plays. Personally I liked the quicker format.

They are going back to the old clock rules. The clock will start after a player catches a kickoff instead of when it is kicked AND the clock will start when the ball is snapped after a turn of possession instead of when the referree blows the whistle. Also moving the kickoff line back to the 30 from the 35 to encourage less touchbacks.

well i did forget to mention moving the kickoffs back to the 30, the rule i don't like most of all. Having a kicker that could routinely kick it into the endzone was a valuable asset. One way to stop a kick returner is to not let him return anything. Eh well.

Now we are just going to have to "juice" up our kickers, at least more than we do now.

well moving the ball back to the 30 will make specialty teams have to work a little harder.
