I'm not saying it's always you just because it is this time, but after every win someone always tells us how average or terrible the team we just beat is. It's so tiring. And a bit condescending too. We all know who SC is and we know who Florida is.18 is a pretty generous ranking IMO. Let's not mistake the SCjr win with something special. They're a pretty bad team. Losing to a very average UF team...AGAIN...certainly doesn't enhance our standing. We're headed into the meat of our schedule. Let's see how we do vs aTm, Bama and UK. If we win those, we'll be movin' on up. Right now we're fools gold in a lot of minds. Speaking for myself, after Saturday, I'm encouraged, but still not a believer in this team or Joe Milton. Hope they prove me wrong.
All true .... and yet, any metric which has Georgia #7 is hard to take seriously.how many times do we have to have this conversation: The ESPN FPI isn't a poll. its a computer generated Power Ranking. It take the information given to it from the season thusfar and pairs the teams together hundreds and/or thousands of times and determines who wins how many times to determine its rankings.
It has Alabama 3rd. Would you say that they have looked sharp? I wouldn't.They have looked very pedestrian all year long compared to some of the other programs out there.
Yeah I know how it works Cochise. Computers are also subject to bias entered by the programmers. When I got to number 3 on the list, and being that it is a ranking generated by the Gump loving network from Bristol and Birmingham, that bias became obvious. At least you admitted that it works based on information 'given' to it.how many times do we have to have this conversation: The ESPN FPI isn't a poll. its a computer generated Power Ranking. lol. I know you start to get triggered when you think about the Florida loss. I do too. Just say to yourself, "It's that swamp voodoo." (See SEC Shorts on You Tube) if you don't get my reference.Behr says:
I also know that no matter how good or bad a team really is, they're better and or worse every Saturday.
Yeah, I'm just rambling now and about to get triggered thinking about the Florida game. It's all good.
