"I hope HC reform fails so they see how bad it will be" mentality.

Stay classy HC reform proponents...

how bad it will be? Won't it pretty much go unchanged when this fails?

Gotta love the Dems taking a page from the Repub playbook and using scare tactics

It's amazing how fast the democrats can squander their power. They should have been in control for two decades after Bush but they'll do good to make it to 2012 at this point.

The only thing saving their bacon is that the R's haven't presented a comprehensive and more reasonable alternative.

It will remain unchanged, which basically means costs will continue to rise at unsustainable rates. Reform or not, eventually something will need to be done. That being said, the public option plan will only create new problems.

It would be interesting to hear viable alternatives from the R's on this issue, because the status quo doesn't cut it.
