More frustrated this morning

This was our second chance at a defensive coordinator in less than a year. (Fla d coordinator was at ND last year). We knew the scheme, and what to expect. Surely we can come up with a game plan with 10 months to think about it.

Our running game was good last night BUT, our OC chose not to use it. Pound the rock, how many times has Fulmer said this? Last night we are 50+ lbs a man bigger and make ZERO attempt to use this advantage, wow. Not one, I said ONE, time did we stretch the middle of the field. Kicking game, once the strong point of Vol football, is now a laughing stock of the nation. Blocked field goal, botched fake punt inside our own 35 by a freshman punter, muffed a punt after a critical defensive stand to start the second half, 8 yard punt because punter is not mature enough to handle his own screw up, that my friend is "poor,pitiful coaching." This year is going to be a rough one and you heard it first from the Sarge!!! :twocents:

You are correct! You make very good points about our coaching staff. I believe this quarterback rotation thing will not work. How many times have you heard other coaches say, a quarterback has to get into a rythem of the game. Jerking Clausen out after only 2 series was mistake number one by the coaching staff. Many more were to follow. Think about this, the water that they drink in Knoxville flows down from the Oak Ridge Nuclear Plant, it kills brain cell and the ability to coach.

Funny, I thought that was one of the best things they did the whole night. If it was a mistake to put Ainge in when he drove down the field for a score, I would hate to see what happened if they got it right.
