More off the field issues in Athens

They're going to have change their name to the Georgia Boozedogs.

It's OK for them though since they have St. Mark as their head coach. I think Richt is a great coach and a good man, but he seems to get a pass with regard to UGA's off the field issues in the past couple of years. Don't get me wrong, I think most of this is just typical stupid college kid stuff, but where Fulmer gets raked over the coals, nobody even slightly hints that there might be a discipline issue at UGA.

Note to new head coaches in the SEC: Take your team to a local church a couple of times, get some good media coverage, and you will get a pass on just about anything.

And ANOTHER incident. It's like an epidemic . . . none of them can drive.

Bulldogs defensive lineman Marquis Elmore, a rising senior from Folkston, was arrested Sunday on charges of driving with a suspended license.
Coach Mark Richt is aware of the incident and is gathering information, according to Claude Felton, Georgia's associate athletic director for communications. No punishment has been announced.
Elmore was booked into the Athens Clarke County jail Sunday evening and then released on $1,500 bond.
He is the fourth Bulldogs football player to be arrested.

Sounds like UGA is working on having as bad an off season as we had last year.

They had off the field troubles last year too didn't they?

In Virginia, driving on a suspended license is a felony. Good thing he's in Jawja I guess.
