Henry Josey, their starting RB, is listed as questionable (I think someone said due to a mild concussion).

Their backup RB, Russell Hansbrough, has been battling turf toe.

This has probably been posted elsewhere but what's the status with Franklin?

He was moved to "Questionable" when it was stated earlier that he would be out through this week.

Honestly I doubt he plays. Mizzou can take this loss and still be in the running for the SEC-E but they need Franklin healthy for the remainder of their schedule... particularly TAMU. I think it's a smokescreen to try to make UT gameplan for Mauk and Franklin who have different playing styles.

If he does play he'll be coming off an injury on his throwing arm. I think with him in the game we play him like we did Shaw. Stick Brewer on him as a Spy and contain his mobility. Push him out of the pocket and force him to make throws on the run.

Wait. Nevermind.

The USC win was a fluke. Wasn't a reflection of a quality defensive gameplan.

And how is this different from Mauk? Mauk is also a mobile QB like Franklin.

I figure they will exploit our lack of speed on D. That WR screen has killed us this year. Along with anything where a LB had to drop into coverage. Offensively we have to keep our D off the field. Hopefully Dobbs can use his legs to make some plays. Their D will be coming off the edges fast. I hope in passing downs we have the RB help to chip Sam. That kid has been beasting it this year.

There's a difference of 22 yards total rushing in 21 attempts (in 2 1/4 games) and 290 yards rushing and 3 TDs in 65 attempts (in 4 3/4 games).

Franklin's more mobile than Mauk at this point in the careers of each (also he can power run a bit, which Mauk can't).

You have a soft tender shoulder, I don't envision seeing much tucking the ball and running

Mauk isn't anywhere near as good as Franklin is through the air. Could be wrong but I thought I read his completion percentage is lower than Worley's.

Franklin is better than Mauk in every sense. Mauk wouldn't be starting if Berkstresser weren't also hurt.

Mizzou has a good system. Their players play that system well. Every AQ team UT has played so far has been faster overall than Mizzou and unless I am forgetting something... they were faster at WR when UT played them too- Oregon, UGA, UF, USCe, Bama.... check.

Would rather play the team were preparing for, Teams always seem to find that dominant player when we put somebody out
