More on the No-Huddle and How It Applies to CBJ

Happy the Vols are going to finally have a coach that can teach and demand players to perform on the field. Make no mistake, it will be a must to perform with these guys, in this system! Otherwise, they would not be running it! This program needs and has needed some disipline in the worst of ways for a good while!

I don't know if the offense will ultimately work or not.

But if we have a play board with Carl Spackler on it like the one pictured, that will be epic.

I just hope the defense is as effective as the O is.

Sorry effect vs affect Nazis. That one gets me every time.

Very informative read! I hope the one word calls make the installation easy this spring and the team comes out firing on all cylinders!

From whom did CBJ learn from Kelly?

Sorry, can you be more specific?

I'm assuming Brian from the first article, correct?

Coach Jones was his offensive coordinator at CMU in 2004.

He kept much, if not all of the pass packages and vertical route stemming from Kelly, along with terminology in 2007.

Following in the footsteps--inheriting two programs in consecutive coaching stops and not moving all of the pieces around is what I largely inferred. If this was confusing, I apologize.

I also had a misnomer with Meyer, which I implied as a close friendship to the degree that they regularly talk and discuss coaching and running programs.

For whatever reason, I failed to mention Rich Rodriguez as well.

Watching last year’s Cincinnati vs. Louisville game showed me that the scheme itself can be successful against teams with SEC size and speed. While UL isn’t Alabama, Tennessee has a lot better players--and ability to get players--than UC. But you know, that funny-shaped ball bounces funny. No telling what’s gonna happen.
