Tell me, did you actually read the linked editorial? Can you separate fact from fiction, even when it is placed right in front of you in clear terms?

Seems to be a lot of assumptions being made in that article.

There are no assumptions down to the 58.4% piece. That's coming. The remainder is assumption, but generally solid without some serious spending cuts.

About the only thing i got out of that is it won't sustain itself at this rate. Change the tax code, close a lot of the insane loopholes and at least that would be a start. What Obama is proposing will be more widespread and it's going to get into everyone's pocket. Let's face it the last thing most of us need is more taxes, oh but wait Obama said that 80% of Americans are for higher taxes:unsure:

CURL: Who says tax cuts kill jobs? Our history sure doesn't - Washington Times

statement President Obama made halfway through his news conference last week was so unfathomable, so utterly incomprehensible, that befuddled White House stenographers simply gave up and tacked a “[sic]” next to it.

Here is what the president said: “If the American people looked at this, theyd say, boy, some of these decisions are tough, but they dont require us to gut Medicare or Social Security. They dont require us to stop helping young people go to college. They dont require us to stop helping families who’ve got a disabled child. They dont require us to violate our obligations to our veterans. And they dont require ‘job-killing tax cuts.’ [sic]”

My idea - 80 percent rate on all income made by bailed out company employees after the first 250K.
