Got to get a couple defensive backs in portal. McCullough can't play and Hadden can't shut up! They both need to transfer.

McCullough more than Hadden.

Hadden actually made a few nice plays tonight. In coverage and open field tackling.

But good God, McCullough was an absolute liability!!

So tired of him being out there.
You look at him, and he looks like an NFL safety physically. But MAN HE SUCKS!!

You are right about McCullough. Seen enough of him!

Slaughter is the ONLY DB we had that made a play where he turned his head and made a play on the ball and looked like a well coached DB. The others were just running towards the WR with their hands up like they had no idea what they were doing. We absolutely must get better in the secondary.

Slaughter did have a pretty good game. He had a couple of nice open field tackles too.

Slaughter is best at safety.

My hope is that we have some youth that can crack the starting lineup, but even if the talent is there, they're being given to Martinez. Not a fan of that guy as a coach.

Willie Martinez is a Butch Jones secondary coach and should be canned this year, players all around the ball, nobody in position to make a play, most never actually turn around, the embarrassment of the Tennessee secondary is too well know, even among the referees, four pass interference calls against Tennessee, none against Clemson, the technique isn't being taught, it's all piss poor coaching, coaching, coaching and if Martinez worked anywhere but here he would have been fired midway through the season

He misses too many tackles. OTOH Slaughter was an absolute beast! If the rest of our DBs played with similar intensity, then the group would be rock solid.

Slaughter, McDonald and Hadden are keeper, perhaps the two Freshman (Harrison and Thomas) and Williams for his PR ability. The rest need to hit the portal asap

Anyone teaching these kids how to play the ball and defender on the deep ball? I know it's one of the most difficult things to do in football, but dadgum, we seem to be one of the worst at it.

You have to give Hadden his props on the 4th and 2 play, where he knocked the crap out of Mr. Shipley. Well I just looked at the replay, maybe he didn't have as much to do with the stop as I thought.
