BUT it was only to talk about the Dolphins. ESPN is reporting that Bama tendered an offer and Saban is to respond by 3:30pm Tuesday. The ESPN update today stated that Bama has a list of 5 candidates, Saban is #1, and they plan to have a new HC in place by Friday.

not sure what to think of all this. I don't think Bama would make a formal offer if they didn't have a "feel" Saban would take it. Kind of like when you were in school, you ususally new someone would say yes if you asked them on a date, before you asked. Human nature hates rejection. I wonder if they will offer the same huge package to the other 4 coaches they "say" they have.

This is really going to change the dynamics of coaches salaries in the NCAA if it happens.

I will not believe it until I see Saban wearing a Houndstooth Hat. Everyone said that the Rich Rodriguez deal was sealed and he was gonna be the next coach at bama and we see how that turned out.

They talked about it lastnight at halftime of the BSU/OU game. Apparently he had an interview yesterday and they offered $4mil. However, Bammer wants a decision by tonight.

Are we supposed to be talking about this? I think at his press conference Saban said that he would not talk about it in the press conference and that those guys over at Volnation better not either.
