Doesn't matter. Calhoun will retire after season and give the NCAA an excuse to drop it. Will blow over.

It's not what you know but what you can prove.

Not trying to defend Jim but how can we know that Miles himself is being truthful.

Just saying.

exactly... deny deny deny deny... deny till you're blue in the face. As long as you do that you keep your job as it's your word against theirs.

You come clean and admit your mistakes... you will be crucified and ousted from the basketball community.

And that's why the NCAA sucks.

You really have no friggin clue. Go make a "I Hate Jim Calhoun" Facebook page and see if you can get him fired since your strategy worked so well to save Pearl's job.

You better be careful. Facebook is serious business.

It's also been reported that Mr. Myles is currently broke and anyone requesting interviews going forward must provide payment.

It may be true but no reason to completely jump to conclusions so quickly.

Statement from Calhoun's lawyer.

"Coach Calhoun denies any claim that he knew that Nate Miles was receiving impermissible benefits," Scott Tompsett, a lawyer representing Calhoun, said in a statement released by Connecticut. "Moreover, Nate Miles submitted a signed statement to the NCAA last year that contradicts his current story. Coach Calhoun cooperated fully with the NCAA's investigation and considers this matter closed."

Curious as to this contradicting story...

When Ramar Smith is on 60 Minutes in a couple of years talking about how he became academically eligible at UT and his "business" activities off the floor in Knoxville, all the folks buying Miles story hook, line, and sinker will be screaming to the heavens what a liar he is for slandering Tanning Bed & Co.

You dare insinuate that a 23 yr old former star recruit, that was fired from a Premier League basketball team, who is currently laid up on friend's couches with stab wounds and a punctured lung, and seeking payment for all interviews isn't a reliable witness?

For shame.

Ramar won't be alive in 2 years

Miles disputed several aspects of Calhoun's account of his recruitment. Miles said former UConn assistant Tom Moore introduced him to Josh Nochimson, and the former team manager provided shoes and clothes, along with $250 every three days once Miles committed to the Huskies.

If this were true, I would like to know how long those payments lasted. That's 30,000 a year. Seems like a lot. Then again, Snooki gets 32,000 for one appearance at Rutgers. Nevermind.

I would pay that skank 30k to stay away.

I've met coach Calhoun a few times, at events and in quasi-personal social settings, so I really can't vouch for "Character", but knowing his past, and his South Boston roots, as far as his record at UC, I'm thinking Nate Miles is flailing for limbs as he falls down.

Calhoun didn't land Camby or Vin Baker, and after landing someone with a questionable past like Khalid El-Amin, there was no NCAA inquiry, or at least nothing that amounted to anything.

This fanbase hollering about anything and everything that might be questionable, while burying their own heads in the sand, is, frankly, amusing.

If 60 minutes has to stoop so low for that its no big deal, it means their ratings suck and no one is watching.
