I have a friend that is in class with Morley at Pellissippi State. Goes to class and is doing pretty good. It would be nice to add him to the mix next year...:dance2::rock:

Agreed. Were only losing Hefney from this year and Morely could fill his spot at one of the safety's...

Berry, Vinson, n Morley would have to equal the most talented secondary in the nation.!!!!

Berry>Morley though maybe Berry would move to FS and Morley back to SS w/ Johnson and Vinson on the corners. Doesn't sound all that bad. Ben Martin, Robert Ayers, Chris Walker and Gerald Williams at DE. Bolden and Williams at DT. Mayo, McCoy, Donald, Myers-White, Davis, and McKenzie at LB. Our D looks really good on paper for next year.

With some good coaching that could be a heck of a defense

That really looks like one of the most talente defenses that UT has ever had! seriously
there should be no way that we don't dominate people with our defense..
well, unless our coaching..umm... ugh!

you can count on coaching to cause them to be an average defense...especially the secondary if Slade returns

those guys are talented but they would be FAR from the most talented secondary in the nation. Berry and Vinson would still be only sophomores, very young, and Morley was out of place A LOT last year. You'd still have Marsalous Johnson at the other corner spot, which is nothing to brag about. Those 4 would not even be close to the most talented secondary in the nation.

Morley would be better than Berry next year, IMO, though Berry clearly has much more upside. He and Vinson, while our best options all things considered, have been exploited over and over again (I think about it.....) Wish it was all in my head...

Gerald Williams will be 30 before he finally straps on a UT helmet....:)

Berry will be our best DB next year. Theres no doubt in my mind.. he's got the leadership, so that when Heffney leaves, he's going to be the vocal point of our DB's.. And him and Mayo are going to be our two vocal leaders overall on defense..
and hopefully ayers or bolden will step up too and become leaders..

Berry has a slight physical advantage over Morley but a significant mental and leadership advantage. Morley would be nice to have back though.

BTW, my personal feeling as of now is that CPF gets more time unless UT really tanks and lose 6 games. At the same time, I wouldn't be surprised to see a significant shake up of the D staff if they lose one more game due to defense.

The gameplan against Bama was nothing short of incompetent, the ingame adjustments were worse, and seeing Chavis get thoroughly outcoached by a guy that was a back up college QB only 6 years ago was downright embarrassing.
