Mort brought the collegiate game into the discussion. He never mentioned TN this morning, but he did say he thought Gruden had done a lot of research regarding the collegiate game. He's still on 104.5 now, but they seem to have moved on from the "Gruden" talk.

Yea, I know. That was the reason I posted this from their spot with Mort this morning. I thought it was at least interesting that Mort introduced the "collegiate" aspect into the conversation when the question was asked more regarding Gruden and potential NFL openings.

What a complete fail. Mort clearly expected to be asked and they decided to focus on nfl openings. Mort then introduced the college aspect and they still just left it there.
Mort said he did tjimk that jg will coach again and that the nfl is possible but also said that the nfl collective bargining agreement could be a big detractor to jg returning to the nfl. He went on to interject that jg has been researching the college game and he believes jg WOULD be interested in returning to the college ranks.

I agree! Mort actually opened the door for those guys to dig a little deeper but they let the door close by itself. I'm not sure if it's because they have Mort on there as a NFL expert or what, but they missed on that one.

That's what makes it a big fail this morning by Frank and Mark. Mort sounded as if he was ready to say why Gruden may prefer the college game over the NFL. He basically laid the ground work out for them by stating why he wasn't sure any of the potential NFL openings would appeal to Gruden and that he knew the college game intrigued Gruden. The 104.5 guys changed the subject without taking it further.

Thanks for posting the interview was coming up by the way. I happened to be off and was able to stream it. I was excited because i fully expected them to get into the jg stuff that mort has been floating.
