So now I have to ask (now that they have been eliminated) who's the most disappointing team in college basketball this year?

After the result tonight, I would have to say it's Texas's award this season.

still, it's a pretty far fall. Texas got a tough seed and lost a hard game on a miracle 3, in OT.

If we're talking since preseason, I'd say UNC. If we're talking since Jan 1st, I'd say Texas.

they did though too get to 1 only to slide all the way completely out of the top 25 (which is both pretty impressive and hard to do)

and lost like....10 out of their last 17 games

Texas stunk yes....but NOBODY was more disappointing this year then UNC. They were preseason number 8 according to Espn. And they're NIT...and a 4 seed at that! they will probably get beat by Mississippi State! How do you get more disappointing than that?

UNC could put five bums off the street into UNC uniforms and some people would rank them in the top 10 just because of the name on the front of the jersey.

The sad part is that some very good teams basically rolled over for them in December, just because of the name on the jersey. Then College of Charleston went out there without being afraid of the UNC "mystique," beat their baby blue butts and people quit being scared of the name.

I hate to say it, but North Carolina was pretty damn disappointing.

This is coming from a UNC fan.

Being a Tar Heel fan, it's easy for me to say they were the most disappointing because they were still supposed to be a good team, one that got better as the season went on. Of course that didn't happen, but Texas was a popular pick to win the title and they got bounced by an overrated Wake Forest team that was on the bubble to make the tourney and got lucky to get in.

UNC easily...they were like #6 preseason and 91st at the end...lost to Charleston, Boston College, got stomped by Virginia, lost to Duke by 32...it's not really that close

UNC and UConn, with the edge going to UConn, IMO.

UNC was supposed to rebuld this year. UConn.....I have no idea what happened to them.

UNC was ranked in the top 5 for the first month of the season and ended up in the NIT. Atleast Texas won some games and made the NCAA tournament.

They were projected to be in for the majority of the season.

Since it didn't help my picks, I'd say Temple losing to Cornell, decidedly, was not exciting.

Hell I had Georgetown beating UT and making Elite 8. They would be my pick.

I agree I think Texas but I was kind of looking for Ole Miss to do just a bit better I guess. I just got home from watching them play Memphis and they have a good team and plus im a fan of AK. I just thought they would atleast make the Tourney this year I guess but anyways, they return everyone but 1 player next year so they should be fine next season. But yeah hands down TX. was really disappointing this season.

Did you drive to Oxford for the game?
