Magic, Jordan, Bird I could watch any of those guys play

Tyson was a beast in his time.

Tiger could get me to watch a Thursday round

And I know he's a pro but there was something about watching Todd Helton play baseball. Saw him in HS and went to most games while in college.

Tyson looked great because he never faught anybody with talent. The only good heavyweights he ever got in the ring with, Holyfield and Lewis, made him look silly.

I was pretty young during Tyson's heyday, but I think I recall him knocking out some guy in the first round that was a fairly well established and had never been KO'd before. I think he also beat Holyfield once. By the time he fought Lennox Lewis, he was just washed up.

He never beat Holyfield, he was 0 for 2 against him. In the 1st fight he got his a$$ kicked thoroughly and in the 2nd he was getting his a$$ kicked again before getting disqualified for showing traits of cannilbalism.

Watching him knock people out in 1 minute or less was exciting regardless of the talent he was facing.

He did have good years before that. He took away the WBA, WBC and IBF belts from each of those champions in the same year (1987).

Michael Spinks was just begging Tyson to tap him once, so he could hit the canvas, hear the man say, "Ten," pick up a check and retire. The man had no intention of fighting for that payday.

My mistake. I'll admit I don't know his history that well.

Agree on that. But would you want to take a punch from him in his prime?
