One thing that struck me most was how composed he was. Basically a high school senior, he made Terence Jones look panicked and out of control. Jones looked as if he was about to lose his mind a few times.
Davis on the other hand, has great composure and is going to be one heck of a #1 draft pick.
It is going to be fun watching Jarnell this year and next. Unbelievable for a kid that ought to be in high school. Tenn. basketball is on the up with Cuonzo.
David is an awesome tallent. Kentucky just has more tallent for now.
Stokes is the type of player you can build a strong program around. His, work ethic, intelligence, desire to be the best and his overall maturity for a kid that just turned 18 years old is amazing. I see great things happening for our BB program the next few years. We only lose Tatum and Woolridge off this team which should not affect us at all next year.
Most impressive thing about him is his composure. He is mature beyond his years, not only physically (which is obvious to everyone) but in his knowledge of the game. He plays with a calmness about him. Very composed and doesn't force the game. Maybe he can teach that trait to Mcrae.
If we had Tobias and Hopson we wouldn't of had a scolly for him. I wish another scolly would open up someway next year and we could add a true point guard and move Golden to the 2.
Most noticeable thing I saw was that he was in no way intimidated by the #2 team in the country during his first college start. His highlights vid shows his other abilities that came out today.
I must say that Jarnell is "as advertised" because he is the total package,IMO.
Still feel good about where the Vols are headed..We played a great game considering we were supposed to get "blown out" according to some UK fans.:birgits_giggle:
