lmao at this....

Meet Saudi Arabia's 'Miss Beautiful Morals' Contestants - International News | News of the World | Middle East News | Europe News - FOXNews.com

What they're looking for in the quest for "Miss Beautiful Morals" is the contestant who shows the most devotion and respect for her parents.

...yes. The irony here of a country holding a morals contest for women, where those same women are often lashed for allowing themselves to be raped is crazy. Is this a contest to see who is best at listening to their parents tell them not to go to school, be subservant to any male figure, and marry who they tell them to?

whatever the questions is, the answer would be "Israel must be wiped off the map, oh and world peace"

yeah, you don't want to answer wrong, you might end up being beheaded a couple days later.

I can see why BO bowed to the leader of this country...

it was for the manly handshake that ensued.

* extra credit if you get that movie reference.

edit: btw, I don't suppose Perez Hilton will be in Riyadh to judge this one, will he? I'm sure the Kingdom can teach him a thing or two about tolerance of alternative lifestyles.

How often do you hold hands with grown men?

I like to hold hands and skip. I try to at least once day. If I get desperate I'll pay one of those homeless guys on the exit ramp on the interstate a few bucks to skip with me.

sigh.

it's an Arab custom that male friends hold hands. We were taught this back in late 1990 as part of our cultural training before deploying to Saudi Arabia for Desert Shield.

however, nothing in our training told us that we were expected to bow to any royalty.

and no one has even bothered to guess the movie I referenced in post #10

yep, early in the movie when Bill Paxton shows up in the field. Phillip Seymour Hoffman's character grabs his hand and says "A manly handshake ensues."
