My vote goes to Andy Kelly and Cory Fleming. They are two of the greatest players in Arena Footbal League (AFL) history. David Douglas is a close 2nd. He is the only Rhea County Golden Eagle to be drafted into the NFL.

Looks like all 4 votes for Kelly so far.

What about Troy Fleming, who's really playing well for the Titans this year? I know the team as a whole is down, but Troy has had his name called a bunch, and he's just a rookie!

How about Dave Thomas? He was here under Majors and never played. He played several years in the NFL for the Cowboys and Jags I think.

What about Jay Graham? Didn't he led Tennessee to a big win against Ohio State and Heisman winner Eddie George

When I think of Jay Graham I think of his run against Bama.

I would have to say former UT quarterback Pat Ryan. He is so underrated, that he&#39;s not even on the poll&#39;s list in this thread.

Ryan never started a game in college. He was the backup to 3 different quarterbacks: Condredge Holloway, Randy Wallace, and Jimmy Streater.

He was selected in the 11th round of the NFL draft with the 281st pick.

He played 13 seasons in the NFL (12 for the same team), appeared in 145 games, completed 364-of-657 for 4320 yards and 31 TDs. His best NFL season was 1984 when he led the NY Jets in passing with 1939 yards and 14 TDs.

Dadgum... edited before I could get the slam in&#33; (I didn&#39;t know you played in the NFL, AllVol&#33; :dunno:

That&#39;s a pretty decent NFL career to have never started in college&#33;

Two names that stick out to me is Greg Amsler im not sure i spelled that right but he was a fullback and always came up with a big play, and the other guy is Craig Falkner he really helped Shuller out. :groupwave: :groupwave: :groupwave: </span>

From Amsler to Shawn Bryson to Mose Phillips and even all the way back to Sam "the Ram" Henderson, we&#39;ve had some pretty good fullbacks recently that never got much recognition.

Leonard Scott should not be on that list.  He couldn&#39;t catch a cold.

:shakehead: Leonard has to go down as one of the biggest enigmas in the history of Vol football. I don&#39;t care if a guy has good hands or not, how in the heck does a guy with 4.25 speed not make more of an impact? He had a few good returns, but I don&#39;t think he caught more than 30 balls in his entire career.

bryson was very underated the running game would have been very different without him and he was an excellent pass blocker too&#33;

:yikes:

22 catches for 256 yards and only 2 receiving TDs in his career??? Hard to believe that a guy with that much speed could play 4 years and not put up bigger numbers than that.

How about Thomas "TD" Woods? He left UT as the alltime leading reciever, but he never got the hype that his teammates like Pickens and Harper got.

JJ McClesky (sp?) was another guy who played with a lot of heart.
