Odd since I read so much on this board that no big coach would ever want to come here and we can't afford to pay them anyway, Arkansas is a more attractive program, etc. etc. etc.

I found it interesting that Gundy was on that list.

I found it interesting that Patterson was #2 and Ferentz was even on the list. The ranking criteria was odd. How could Patterson be a more powerful coaching figure than Brown or Stopps in the Big 12? TCU is a school with about 9500 students and TX has over 50,000. According to the other link from the OP, TX is the most valuable program, so I would think that would put Brown over most other coaches.

People on the board expect them to act like it.. Someone should mention Tennessee is a top job and program to the UT brass.. They don't seem to grasp the fact it is... They run it like a third rate brothel...

I found #13 to be quite interesting! I wonder if those numbers will change in the future? I never thought I would see "THE" Ohio State University that low.

Would really like to know when those numbers were run and how they were run. If all of that is recent, what will we look like with a good product on the field? Just Curious!

USC isn't in the top 10. :)

If you knew all that much about USC, it wouldn't. Campus is nice but the hood surrounds it. They play in the oldest stadium in the world (a joke), interestingly enough also named The Coliseum after the one in Rome. They don't own it, it's huge and they don't really have the premium seating that brings in the bucks.

The one positive we Arkansas fans had after the second buttwhoopin they gave Nutt was how in impressed they were of our facilites. All they did was compliment them and said there was nothing like that in the Pac 10. I know that Oregon got busy shortly after that though.

My guess is the contract in correlation with the size of school and fan base or annual revenue per football operations.

Ferentz has a huge contract for winning 7 games a year.

Forbes is a money magazine. It all boils down to raw dollars for them. Part of their criteria is the % of the Athletic departments budget the Head Coach's salary represents. Patterson is huge in that regard.
