Mount Union out of Ohio. A division 3 team lost today. It was their first loss since October of 2005. They had won 222 of their last 223 games before losing today. Before their loss in 2005 they had won 110 straight games. After that loss they had won 112 straight games before today.

They operate differently than the rest of D3. They try to lure D1 flunkies and play the transfer game

I played in their conference (OAC), same time as Pierre Garçon. They beat us in the playoffs two years in a row, both times by a field goal.

Fact: There's a Vol fan somewhere that thinks the OC doesn't throw the ball deep enough. If they were the OC, Mt Union wouldn't have lost those two games out of the last 224.

The only D3 football I usually watch is some of the playoffs on ESPN3 and the championship game, and that was the only thing I would remember was that Mount Union was always playing.

I agree. It would be like playing Tennessee Tech every game. Why even watch as a fan. It's also how I feel about the NBA regular season. Just bring on the playoffs.

Fortunately for them, they play in the OAC, top to bottom probably the toughest D3 conference historically. They get to play John Carroll, Baldwin Wallace, Capital, Ohio Northern and others every year. A few teams always get ranked and make it into the playoffs.
