1. Like many of you, I would have liked some more praise for our Vols during today’s CFP reveals - our team was evaluated as #6 in the nation and has a Top-10 date with Clemson in Orange Bowl but not did not get same airtime as Alabama as #5 (where was interview with Josh Huepel ESPN??? - we were the first to whoop their butts in 2022 regular season). Outside the PR, Well Done to all of our players and staff for literally resurrecting our VOLS into top 10 discussion!
2. For longtime VN fans (especially those reading this), thanks for not giving up! I do believe the sustained support from VN to our Vols (especially during dark times) was key to enabling university/team to shake off the bad karma we’ve had for two decades (too long!)
3. Like many of you, I’m also hoping our top 10 matchup against Clemson in the Orange Bowl will continue to enable our team’s/staff’s momentum in moving program forward into 2023 Season.
For our team, prepare hard for a Clemson team that really only knows competing at the CFP level. Tigers are assuredly a worthy post season opponent for all of the work/sacrifice you’ve made to date for Vols.
For fans like me, embrace and enjoy what our team has fought so hard for you this year. Embrace also we probably don’t know anyone amongst us who would have thought that our team would be in a position for atop-10 NY6 matchup against a normal CFP contender. Our VOLS are ranked above ACC, B12, and PAC12 conference champions… plenty to celebrate about this season.
