During the game it showed his dad in the stands wearing a Kentucky sweatshirt supporting his son. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t make it to many games. Touching more so because of the below tweet Cal made last year.

UK Coach John Calipari just sent a tweet saying his mother, Donna, had passed away.
Here is the tweet: “As most of you know, my mom, Donna, has been battling cancer for several months. On Sunday, she lost her brave fight

Amazing how he has stayed focused and now in the final 4.

Bittersweet moment for Cal. His team has played exceptionally well vs OSU and UNC. I'd rather see them in the title game over UConn.

I never thought Kensucky would have made it this far. I thought they were too young. They have really hit their stride though here in the tourney. Theyve got a shot to win this thing. As much as I hate Cal, the man can coach. Taken 3 teams to the FF. ONly him and Pitino have done that.

And who ever wins VCU vs Butler beat the crap out of UCONN!

Cal's a cheater but he ain't our lying cheater. If he was ours, some of these folks would defending him tooth and nail. But but, he cried. But but, he's sorry.

As has been said, Calipari is an arrogant prick and is easy to hate. That makes him qualified to lead the most obnoxious portion of that fanbase.

I always enjoy reading your perspective, and this time I couldn't agree with you more.

Many of the posters on here have zero clue to anything that Cuonzo is about, yet they are running their mouths about (a) how this is a significant home run hire, and (b) putting down calipari and everyone else. Ummmm, confidence problems??? Easy people...how about we get through the press conference before we start calling our national championships. Kentucky is 1 game away from actually playing in one, and we just hired a guy because we thought Mizzou would jump on him. Jesus.

Keep doing what you do.

Your right, you win, you have a tremendous football team. And to think that some people accuse UK fans of coming out for 1 season a year. Again you win, you are not a 1 sport school, That should make you feel better. That is the goal on Volnation, to make UK fans feel better.
