Thank God the SECT is not played at TBA.
7:30, Thursday night. We should have had them in the regular season so how do you see this playing out? Arkansas is not very good away from home (Ws over Vandy, Auburn & Seton Hall). Clarke is a beast but I look down low to see how this plays out. Tobias had one of his best games against Arkansas. Hopefully Williams is 100% and we can get Powell or Johnson is foul trouble early. Their starters play a lot of minutes but they can go 8 or 9 deep. Should be a decent game with the winner playing Florida. Contain Clarke and you beat Arkansas.

I'll say this: if we DON'T beat Arkansas, Selection Sunday is going to be a bit dicey. 18-14, 8-8 in the conference, losing the last two games played? 50/50 at best.

If we don't, on a neutral floor, we should be left home. They're legitimately awful.

If they lose to Arkansas for a second time, they have zero business in the Field of 68.

If the effort was like it was today against Kentucky, then the Vols will be back home Thursday night.

If we don't beat them, we don't deserve to be in the tournament, period. We shouldn't even be having this discussion. No excuse for the way we have played.

I hope we can win one game in the SECT. However, I really don't think this team is deserving of the NCAAT. Let's be honest here. We may have a good enough RPI but we lost four games we shouldn't.

Oakland, USC, CoC, & Charlotte are bad losses. Does that over-ride our good wins against Villanova, Pittsburgh, and Vandy twice? It's hard to say really. We did have a pretty tough schedule but those four bad losses aren't good.

I just think there are a few other teams that are more deserving for the NCAAT than us. Alabama is one of those. They may have a weak SOS & RPI but they beat us and won the SECW. We finished 5th guys in the SECE at 8-8. Alabama was 12-4. We could put all the speculation to rest by winning the SECT but not likely. I think right now we're not a lock for the NCAAT.

If we can beat Arkansas maybe that locks is in but you never know. I just don't like our chances unless we win at least one SECT game. We're 11-13 in the last 24 games guys with some bad losses.

We didn't play well towards the end of the season either. That plays a role in deciding who gets in. I'm skeptical that we're in as of right now.
