and early on, they're giving Louisville a run for its $. Fine by me; let plenty of room open up ahead of us in the polls, yes?

I admire Louisville for playing such a tough schedule.

It's a complete joke that they get a free pass into the top 10.

so much for a close game.

if your in conf. schedule is that bad, they should at least have to play one real team a year out of conference.

*I guess they thought it would be Miami.

Sagarin rates their SOS at #65 in the country.

Other than Miami, they play West Virginia. Then you get the MTSUs of the world.

As soft as Kentucky's schedule is this year, Louisvile's is still 10 notches easier in SOS.

And we play Louisiana-Monroe, Central Michigan, Texas State, and both Mississippi schools.

The bad thing that is happening is that instead of ranking the top 25 according to quality, some pollsters seem to be hung up on ranking teams in order of projected outcomes. Louisville gets stuck in the top 10 because they have the potential to run the table; not because pollsters necessarily think they are that good.

Exactly. You know what would be great, though? I would love to see UL run the table and somehow get matched up with Auburn in a BCS game. Wouldn't that be a hoot? :birgits_giggle:

Point of history: A couple of seasons ago, Petrino flirted with Auburn's officials when they were thinking of replacing him in 2003. It peeved off a lot of people. Wouldn't it be great to see Tuberville run up the score on Petrino? Justice would be served.

:)
