First impression is that these two teams are the exact opposites of each other. Their pitching hasn't been great but they have been getting it done at the plate. Our pitching has been pretty good, but until the last game we have had a hard time producing runs.
As far as the pitching goes, we have two guys making their first starts, so not much to tell. Obviously, Alton has been a reliever and is getting his shot in this midweek game. I remember Nathan Foriest from last year, he did pretty well in a game we won 2-0 and we could see him again if Alton falters.
It will be great to finally get a look at Mr. Warren! First Home game of the year for the Vols, first pitch is at 6 PM.
They haven't faced the greatest competition, none of the teams they've beaten have a winning record. However, they have been pretty solid in the field with 9 E's in 9 games compared to our 16 in 8. We need to clean that up.
Hopefully folks will get a chance to get out and see a game this week!
