Steve Earle is the only one I have ever heard of. IF it's the country singer Steve Earle.

LIO, surely you've heard of Garrison Starr.

Scott Miller is one of the best musicians to ever call Knoxville home. He was the frontman for the V-roys before his solo career with the Commonwealth.

Oh (LOL), yes, that is the "country" singer Steve Earle.

I would love to see Steve Earle have to work though Billy austin is a great song.

How was it? I'm not much for camping out in fields at music festivals but I do remember Kevin Kinney from Drivin' & Cryin', Jason Ringenberg from Jason & the Scorchers, Steve Earle the "Americana" artist who sings 'Copperhead Road', Dash Rip Rock who I think have been playing the frat house/college bar scene since before I started college way back in 1990, and Will Hoge. From the lineup I am guessing the music was pretty good quality. Any reports?

Agreed!! He is also a helluva nice guy.

I listen to (and play) a lot of music, and a lot of different styles of music, and I consider his among the best that Southern rock/folk/bluegrass (which we now call "Americana," I guess) has to offer. "Just Add Ice" would be one of my 5 favorites of all time.

Hillbilly, I'll post reviews after the show. Unlike many posters around here, I do NOT have the ability to foresee the season. . . .errrrr. . . .future. LOL. Wish you could make it.

The Katies and Lucero are freaking incredible. Less Honky More Tonkies is fun to say the least

I am bummed that I missed it. But I can't complain because I was on a plane back from the Bahamas:dance2:

I've been to Harriman for other things in my youth. Didn't know music festivals would some day be the thing there.

Sorry, didn't post yesterday, but was busy at work. . . .

Lots of fun -- I, personally, enjoyed the small "singer/songwriter stage" and the chance to meet a lot of the artists. Todd Snider, Scott Miller, Will Hoge, Garrison Starr, Cory Branan, and Leticia (sp?) Wolf were all great. It wasn't too crowded (moreso by the time Lucero played) and the venue, staff, and crowd were very enjoyable. This thing might REALLY take off next year if word gets around.

Todd Snider is a terrific songwriter. Take a listen to "Near Truths and Hotel Rooms", "The East Nashville Skyline", and "New Connection". For those familiar with the Bob and Tom Show Todd wrote B double E double R UN - Beer Run.
